Appointment Reminders and Cancellations

Recalibration Massage East Bay has a 48-hour cancellation, no-exception policy.

I send email appointment reminders 72 and 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment, as well as a 24 hour text reminder sent to your phone. Any changes (cancellations, reschedules) made with MORE THAN 48 HOURS NOTICE will not be subject to any charges.

If you need to cancel or reschedule your session WITHIN 48 HOURS of your appointment time, you will be subject to 100% of the cost of your session.

No-shows will be charged 100% of the cost of the session.

It is understandable that things come up last minute, however I kindly ask that you communicate with me as soon as you know and are able to. My time is just as valuable as yours.

Client Confidentiality

I adhere to strict therapist-client confidentiality, which means I will not discuss any part of your visit or your profile unless I have express permission from you. Any and all information collected on intake forms provided by me are strictly for my use as a practitioner, and no part of your personal information will be shared or sold to an outside third party. Email addresses and phone numbers that are collected will not be subject to any mailing lists by Recalibration Massage East Bay unless you opt-in for such updates.

COVID-19

Health Questionnaire

Upon booking your appointment (first-time clients), you will also receive a Client Health Questionnaire form. This form is an agreement that you will communicate with me about any possible COVID-19 exposure you may have had (or other communicable illness) that may affect me or my practice in any way. I ask that you uphold personal responsibility to maintain an open communication channel.

Safety Precautions

As of April 2022, masks are currently required to enter the building. Hand sanitizer will be always be readily present. There is also a gender-neutral restroom within the suite for additional hand washing options. I regularly disinfect all common surfaces.

My Personal Responsibility to You

As of April 2022, I am fully vaccinated and boosted (January 2022). Despite any rollbacks on mask mandates, I will continue to wear a mask for the duration of your visit. There is an air purifier in the treatment room, as well as a window that can be left open for air circulation. I will also take the responsibility to inform you of any possible COVID-19 exposure (or other communicable illness) should the need arise.

My Right to Refuse Service

As the massage therapist, I reserve the right to end or deny a massage if any one of the following occurs:

- Client does not abide to my policies.

- Client makes verbal or physical advances that are violent or sexual in nature.

- Client makes comments that are hateful in nature.

Clients who engage in intolerable behavior that puts myself at risk will have their session terminated immediately and charged the full cost of their session. All future sessions will be terminated (if pre-booked) or will be denied. There will be no hesitation in informing local law enforcement should a situation ever escalate to that point.
